HABITUAL RESIDENCE - Where a person resides permanently for legal purposes.

HARDSHIP - The lack of ability for a parent to provide support for their child because of financial strain.

HEALTH INSURANCE ORDER - A court order in which the parent without custody of the children is to purchase dental and health insurance and put their children on the plan. 

HEARING - Any proceeding that takes place before the court in which testimony is presented and arguments are heard. 

HEARSAY - What a person claims they heard from someone else. Usually hearsay cannot be used as evidence in a trial.

HOSTILE WITNESS - A witness who shows prejudice during their testimony.
