Child custody and Alimony

Question:

My husband and I been married for 4 years. We have 3 kids. a newborn and 6years old twins. Being the mother and not working will I get custody of the kids and will I get any alimony from him in California?

State:
California
Answer:

It would be difficult to guess exactly what the custody and support decsions of the court will be, but without knowing the specifics of your case it does sound like you'd probably qualify for both in most curcumstances. The court wil make their decisions based on the best interests of the children involved. You can get a better idea of support amounts by searching online for a California Child Support Calculator. The calculator will give you a good idea of what is likely to be awarded.
