divorce and bankruptcy.

Question:

My wife and i are fileing for bankruptcy. We are also going to be getting a divorce. I was wondering if we could file for divorce during the bankruptcy or would it be better to wait until after the bankruptcy is over. We both get along for now but I would like for the divorce to be over.

State:
Wisconsin
Answer:

Filing for divorce during the bankrupcy could complicate things. It would probaby result in a simpler divorce proceeding if you had the bankruptcy out of the way. If you want to get divorced right now you might want to consult with a divorce attorney before making your decision.
