Divorce outside the USA

Question: 

Me and my wife are from a different country. We went into divoce after 10 years of marriage. The marriage deed and the divorce action were done in that country, and the court there decided certain alimony to wife for a few month per the law there. No proprty sharing since it was not applicable by the law in that country. How long after the actual divorce took place the wife can file for property sharing and another alimony in the USA? is there a certain period of time after that divorce when
